Business environment in Serbia

Serbia has made progress toward joining the European Union (EU) since March 2012. The country has a variety of free trade agreements with regional countries and EU member states, and continues to move closer to becoming a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Economic growth is driven by manufactured exports and foreign investment. Trade between Canada and Serbia has increased over the years, but the investment relationship remains limited.
